“Ask for a set list, and they look at you the way Neil might react to an AutoTune remix of Tonight’s the Night. “We never have a set list,” Reich says. “We pick the first two songs and the last two songs. They set the tone, then the story tells itself.” Taking the ride with Lazy Horse means embracing that chaos, lurching from song to song.

Their shaggy sensibility comes from their years as mainstays of the Brooklyn grass-roots punk community. Reich co-founded the legendary DIY spot Shea Stadium, one of the city’s most-loved venues until it closed in 2017. He’s played in bands like the So So Glos — an actual band of brothers from Bay Ridge, his friends since childhood — and Titus Andronicus. Rapid City, SD –"All nine South Dakota Tribes have voted to move forward on developing legislation to return federal lands in the Black Hills to the #GreatSiouxNation – a historic display of Tribal unity and momentum around efforts to protect the Black Hills.
"At a recent tribal council meeting, the #CheyenneRiverSioux Tribe passed a resolution to move forward on working together to protect sacred sites, clean drinking water, and ensure better land management through the development of legislation to return federal lands in the Black Hills to the Great Sioux Nation.
"The proposal — which is still in early draft form — aims to return federal lands in the Black Hills back to the #OcetiSakowin, providing a framework for land return and management. The proposal does not involve privately owned lands, and it does not settle or involve claims by the Great Sioux Nation regarding the 1868 Ft. Laramie Treaty.
"Right now, there are 8,800 active #mining claims in South Dakota – about 17 percent of the entire Black Hills. The legal strategy would protect the Black Hills from all #ExtractiveActivities and preserve clean drinking water for all.
"#Indigenous organizations, elders, grassroots leaders, and community members have been organizing and providing support around proposed legislation since 2020, helping Tribal leaders prioritize this proposal as a critical way to protect drinking water for the region, preserve sacred sites, revitalize culture and land, strengthen sovereignty, bolster community wellbeing, and support jobs and economic development.
" 'The Oceti Sakowin people are coming together to claim the land that is rightfully and legally owed to us,' said #MadonnaThunderHawk, Cheyenne River Sioux elder. 'We are here to say, loud and clear, that the Black Hills are not for sale. We love our land, and will continue defending it – from Pe’ Sla to #CravenCanyon and beyond.”

Seventh studio album from Neil Young, and the first credited with Crazy Horse after Danny Whitten died in 1972.
The individual song credits have two songs not attributed to Crazy Horse: “Pardon My Heart” (credited just to Neil Young) and “Through My Sails” (credited “with Crosby, Stills & Nash”).
“Cortez the Killer” is a 7 and a half minute epic, and “Danger Bird” is also nearly 7 minutes – but this is Neil and Crazy Horse in full form and they sound great.
My copy—via the Worcester Record Riot—is an original Santa Maria pressing on orange Reprise labels.

This hill top is full of tribal history of many First Nations peoples but the spirit of the Lakota people is strong.
I am so damn lucky to be able to travel and see this but I wish my indigenous friends around the country could be here. They need to be here.
They fly flags from all tribes and they share the history of all and they do it well.
Thank you for sharing your dances, your culture, drums, and stories.
I was born on your land, I will continue to respect it, I will remind others of your story.
I will most remember your sons who served my country with the honor of the warrior, I truly feel we share a bond.
