#eBay for anything that will net money after shipping+fees.
#Craigslist for other things. I price at much lower than eBay, link multiple listings, then wait a month for a random someone to buy several computer parts or household items at once.
I tried Facebook Marketplace, but they didn't reliably deliver email notifications, and I wasn't going to use the app.
Nextdoor was even more dark-pattern than FB.

Craigslist had been very very good to me. I met my best friend there, somewhat by accident. I got my first iOS device there, which opened a lot of doors. I got my Nokia N8 there, which gave me a good many beautiful photos. I had many clumsy learning experiences too.

(man's wife passed away years ago, he's moving into a retirement home and attempting to clear out his house). Free Weber! (don't need it here, but... these are awesome... soak in Simple Green and hose off, and you can buy replacement grates if needed/etc.). Just requires you put a tarp down when you haul them off, and a pickup truck/SUV. And bring a screwdriver/socket wrench set for these, so you can break them down to fit. Weber is fabulous, because you can buy replacement parts for any model. Just make sure to get the right version (LP or NG), as switching the source is a PITA and can be dodgy due to the size of NG vs. LP molecules. I don't know why anyone buys new ones for $$$ when you can refurb these so easily.

In all the hullabaloo about #digitalsovereignty , I'm surprised that I haven't heard proposals for public (or even shared) directory services to break away from #WalledGardens and make it easier to share information about resources like groups, forums, events, etc.
I cringe every time I see a small business or NGO share an Instagram, TicToc or Facebook address (don't get me started about What'sApp) just because:
- it's easy
- uses an existing login
- makes them discoverable#europe in particular should know better because some postal agencies already operate identity and payment services.
Since governments tend to be late adopters, I have to wonder if #fediverse friendly companies like #craigslist might consider offering services to APIs the way they do for people.Someone please tell me this is already a thing and I just need to get out more.

The box says that two people are required to assemble this grill and my plan is to prove the box wrong.
I am impressed that it came with tools. That will save me a trip down to the garage.

They delivered it and even carried it up the stairs for me at no extra cost. I gave the two guys $20. They were very friendly. I tried to give them my cat but they wouldn't take him.
It's in the living room now. I don't think I'm going to assemble it today. (I need to write an article with a deadline tonight.) Other photos show the older, smaller smoker it is replacing; I just listed it on #CraigsList. That smoker cost about the same 13 years ago. #SmokingWithPellets #SuchADeal
