How about photos that are not rocks today? Ha! Got a 3-pack of classic Cracker Jacks yesterday. I have no idea why we kids thought they are great. And the “toy” in each box is now just a sticker and. You are supposed to go online now to play a game. Which are “classic arcade games” with pinball controls. Which are not working today. 😭
Also, 1 oz of product is really a small amount. And the cardboard box is still printed slightly offset so it kind of is jarring if you’re the type who looks really close at the boy and the dog.
I was also worried about the product when I read “enlarged to show texture”. Could popcorn and peanuts have become a lot smaller? Well, spoiler, it IS smaller but more in terms of quantity. And in the 120 years of production people are now used to agricultural advances that produce larger popped kernels we find in kettle corn or Boom Chicka Pop or Naked Popcorn. Your memories to add?

For those too young (spits) or outside of the UK Crackerjack was a kid's Friday teatime show with games, sketches, *comedy". They often tried to insert music from the pop charts of the day into their sketches. For a young fledgling Bowie fan this one hurt bad. Warning the cringe factor is stratospheric.

So to finish off this baffling, chaotic show, the Black Knight turns up. He is called Nigel so of course they all join in with a rousing rendition of "Making Plans for Nigel" by XTC.
This show ran for 29 years from 1955 to 1984 on the BBC, and was revived a couple of years ago! I used to watch it every week as a kid.

Oh wow...BBC4 are showing an episode of Crackerjack at 7:20pm tonight from 1979 with SPARKS as the music guest! I have to watch just to see how a bunch of 10 year-olds react to Ron Mael glaring at them from behind his Hitler moustache! 😆
