Gerade entnervt aufgegeben. Das Klonen einer #sdhc mit einer #octopi Installation ist weder mit Win32 Disk Imager noch mit Rufus gelungen, alles nicht Boot-fähiger Müll. Nicht nur das das widerlich ist, ich müsste das manuell neu einrichten, und es saugt mir gerade alle verfügbare Motivation ab. Eine Flex ansetzen und den #CR10 klein machen und gegen einen Drucker ersetzen der das einfach kann klingt gerade richtig gut. #3ddruck

Back to #3dprinting after a few years. The old trusty #CR10 is back in action. Now I need to print a dozen things for my printer. This is how 3D printing works.

Rejoice with me, for my budget 3D printer that is so old you can't even get firmware for it is ALIVE AGAIN.

Huge thanks to @linux_mclinuxface and @FritzAdalis for pointing me toward Klipper, which produced results almost immediately. Within a day things were basically working. Another day and they're working pretty well!

Also thanks to @John and @teotwaki gave me important (no, really) emotional support.

I love 3D printing. I know it is not original or interesting to love it; I still do. I don't often make functional things; often I just make cool doodads. It brings me joy.

Today in existential art, I present a #3dprinter nozzle that SHOULD be dripping a nice steady stream of PLA, but... sadly, is not.

The result of it sitting idle for 4 months - I suspect a clogged nozzle that needs a thorough cleaning. #makers #3dprinting #cr10

Ein neues Upgrade für den #cr10.
Die Kunststoff- durch die Metallversion des bowden Extruders ersetzt. Dabei auch gleich die Position verändert. Standardmäßig ist der an der X-Achsen "Brücke" links montiert. Das machte einen Filamentwechsel unmöglich, weil ich beim rein-fummeln immer die Z-Achse verschoben habe. Das kann jetzt nicht mehr passieren, und Filamentwechsel sollte kein Problem mehr sein.

Noch ein bisschen Cable management, dann bin ich erstmal zufrieden. 😀

I just had to do a filamentoctomy on a stuck part my #cr10 #3dprinter. It involved pliers, an application of heat, some wriggling, and a long, strong, drawn out pull.

I feel like I should take a shower now.

Have I mentioned how happy I am to have my #3dprinting #cr10 back online? Power problems in the house made it impossible to use for better part of a week. Now I'm back in production!

Firing up the #cr10 #3dprinting printer for the first time in a couple weeks. It's been relocated from directly next to me.

I swear it's going "Yeah i'm ready to start disappointing you again."

Build plate was juuuuust a little grungy. I mean, this is leftover hairspray muck, so it's sort of supposed to look like this. but I scrubbed it down to glass anyway, and i'll put a new layer on it.

In other news, today, goddammit, I'm going to fix my mother-effing CR10 3d printer. It's been sitting idle for months because i've had bed adhesion problems.

THis is stupid. IT's a great printer, I have shit I need to print. Time to figure out wtf is wrong with it.
