As I live in Germany, the #CPC464 was manufactured by "Schneider".
What was the common manufacturer in Poland?

A bit later we also had a #CPC6128, which my father used to write invoices with a program I wrote.

#CPC464 #keyboard revision 2. Test fitting a few keys. The key change was to update the keybed position to get it better centred. And it’s now looking bang on.

(Keys are upside down because they’re pulled straight from the rev 1, and without sockets soldered I’m mounting them in the solder holes for accuracy. (Although I’ve just realised they’re fully located by the mounting lugs :shrug:))

Polishing off the second revision of the #Amstrad #CPC464 #MechanicalKeyboard

* Key bed repositioned by a few fractions of a millimetre.
* Diode footprint tweaked for easier hand soldering.
* Moved a couple of diodes which were uncomfortably close the connectors.
* Patched up all the traces affected by the above.

I still have a couple of minor items on the todo list but this is very close to being ready for the fab.

My good deed of the day: I changed the drive belts of the cassette recorder on this #Schneider #CPC464. As you can see, it loads its demo cassette perfectly again. I am always amazed at how reliably the old magnetic tapes still work after decades. Thumbs up

My #Amstrad #CPC464 just died on me. It was working fine and then it froze up. Now this is what I get when I power it on. Anybody have any suggestions?

Unfortunately, we have a lot of organizational work to do in the museum right now. So I haven't been able to do many of the things I had planned. But yesterday I was at least able to test the functionality of a #Schneider #CPC464 and it's color monitor. The best thing is that there is a piggyback board built into the CPU socket, which gives it 128kB of RAM.
