#NYC #COVID #wastewater counts are still available on the New York State run portal, but not in the State open data repository.
In the State portal, #COVIDWastewater data is only available as one of two embedded Tableau charts - a graph or a map. The embed code is available, but it is a permalink to a snapshot of the data in time; it does not always show the most current data.

The #NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene released its July #COVIDWastewater data on August 3. It's now September 14, and there's no sign of the August data.
#Wastewater concentration is one of the most important indicators in the beginning of a #COVID wave.
The samples are tested within a few days of being collected. Something the Department of Environmental Protection or the DOHMH is doing between testing and the public repository is taking way too long.

There might be a slight uptick in #COVIDWastewater counts at the end of June, corresponding to the cases and emergency room visits. Too small to sound the alarm about just yet, but worth monitoring!
I also found and fixed a bug in the function where I do the rolling two-week averages. It was matching newly cached and old readings irrespective of treatment plant!

For a while I embedded the #COVID #wastewater Tableau chart from the New York State Department of Health. But I had to update it manually, and it got out of date.
Now the NYC Department of Environmental Protection seems to be reliably updating the city's Open Data portal with the most recent data!
Counts have been low lately; let's hope it's a while before the next wave!

Attend to the light colored line with zero data. or no data, or just stops, some time ago. That's our Nation's Capital Covid RNA sample data from the sewers.
Looks like a toddler got in there with a faded orange marker.
This is graphed in number of standard deviations, yea, not super self-explanatory. It's not even labeled on the axis on the site. The CDC site is needlessly wordy, except for graph axis.
I'm masking up again until we can gather data and publish it like a respectable space-faring race of beings.
What would the news story be here even if we had decent reporting?
