Just for the record, #covid is still real. Dear friend was in the emergency room last night. Bizarre group of debilitating and frightening symptoms. Thankfully with drugs and guidance she is feeling much better today.

I was having an internet search for "adult tinker toys" and came across this online shop. Ah! Pro tinker toys. Cool. I look around, and it's not what I want - mostly memorabilia.

And then there's the **FAKE MASKS** section.

Ummm, what? This is something people are doing? They're PAYING for a pretend mask?

Just... what?

I completely understand about the lack of IRL community. I no longer am able to drive, and can't afford to constantly use Uber or Lyft. So I too have no real IRL connections.

Never mind that I am a #spoonie and #CovidIsReal. I am essentially a hermit these days. Other than doctor appointments, I haven't been "out" in a couple of years, at least.

My info:

I #WearAMask on public transit, planes/in airports and on rideshares.
At work: Except in my private office. Most people mask around me and we all mask at the @TexasObserver monthly meetings. I've also occasionally gone without in sparse indoor situations where I was interviewing someone.
Shopping: Always. Forgot it once recently in Walmart and felt so exposed.

As temps have climbed way above 100 in #Texas, I've started very occasionally eating indoors without one, but I am still masking otherwise, including OMW to the table and usually before my food comes.

I typically don't outdoors except in a crowded setting or protest.
