  3. @juliaclement @lucky I managed to pick up two packs of rats today. Free. I hate this coalition for the damage they are doing. I hate that I know they have had #Covid and have brain damage. I feel like I’m living in a dystopian world. #WearAMask #CovidIsNotOver #covidisnotmild

  5. Study published June 26 2024 finds (confirms) immune response to SARS2 is VERY different from immune response to cold, flu, or RSV. Among other things, in those common respiratory viruses an asymptomatic infection shows less perturbation of T-cells than a symptomatic infection, but in SARS2, asymptomatic cases show MORE effect on the immune system.

May have implications for diagnosis and treatment. May be less relevant to those previously immune compromised.

  6. It’s never a good thing to be in the same category as these other viruses…and the club’s hottest new member? COVID. 😬

“…numerous viruses cause cell fusion in other tissues, but also infect the nervous system and could be causing the same problem there. These viruses include HIV, rabies, Japanese encephalitis, measles, herpes simplex virus and Zika virus…"

  7. @ai6yr Good article. Sums it up pretty well.

I especially appreciated these sections, screenshotted below (the denial/minimization/lack of awareness of which represent my main frustrations):

    1) COVID does long term damage beyond the initial infection,
    2) kids’ immune systems are being destroyed, and
    3) I am NOT crazy/irrational for continuing to mask and protect myself.

  8. @ai6yr Have no fear! NBC says everything is fine (in case you were holding out hope that people might try to avoid this variant).

Thank goodness these “not worse” symptoms cause the same potentially irreversible neurological damage, heart/lung/kidney damage, compromised immune system, microclots, psych disorders, miscarriage, premature birth, and early onset Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s as previous variants…I feel better already! 🙄
