Upon... inquiry... they stated that they believe(d?) the radioactive gasses (...) would cure them of various ailments, AND sanitize (...) them from "COVID particles", some even believed that process would regenerate their bodies, rejuvenescing them.

@Alice A lot of formerly kind, compassionate, and intelligent people really lost their shit during the pandemic. My mother told me that Germany has no electricity at night, because they closed all their other power plants and rely exclusively on solar power.
While I could forgive some particularly un-worldly people who don’t know any better, WE HAVE FAMILY THERE. When I asked if she had called them, she demanded I “respect her beliefs” and hung up the phone.
