Something that never entered my mind as being an outcome of protecting myself against #COVID19 for six years (& remaining #COVIDfree) is that my brain is reasonably intact (for my age).
Family, friends and colleagues - who have had #COVID19 at least once, but most of them, much more than that - not so much.
It's only dawning on me now that I'm losing family & friends due to their #COVIDBrain, not due to them physically dying.
Flying back today from a work trip. Husband and I wear #N95 masks indoors anywhere.
Everyone at the airport is sick. The wet coughs, the hacking, the sneezing… does everyone else just not hear it? Is everyone oblivious to the sickness?
We made it hear by masking and didn’t get sick on the flight in. Hoping it’s true on the return trip.

First thing I do when I start my day is look at the latest #Covid19 Community Risk Level status for my area, the areas where I will be going to &the communities of people I know I have to interact with
The second thing I do is question if every health department, clinic, doctor, etc, in my extremely right-wing community/region, are reporting their data accurately without bias
Some would call this being paranoid. I call this stayin' alive #Covid #CovidFree
@WesElyMD Keep up the good fight, Wes! There must be peppered through my EHR how I went to Cambodia for 2w & a conference in Baltimore & did not get Covid. I attribute it all to me being a very paranoid virologist with a medical crew highly motivated to help me live my life with impaired lungs and wonky immune system (MCAS really didn’t like round 3 of Pfizer or Evusheld). I walk daily, #MaskAlways, #ValueMedicalGuidance to keep me #CovidFree and out of the hospital.

@BlackAzizAnansi I stay fast in my convictions. I long ago stopped trying to convince anyone else. I went to a halloween party at work and wore a rubber mask…and a N95 under the mask. I was sweating my ass off, but am still #covidfree.
