Warning over 'faint' COVID-19 test kit results | 9news.com.au

Users of a particular COVID-19 test have been warned to take faint lines seriously in a notice from the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

🔹Users are warned that a faint line appearing in the "control" (C) section is still an indication of a strong positive test for the virus.

Erwäge Anschaffung eines #Pluslife Mini als "PCR"-Testgerät, weil deutlich sensitiver als die Antigen-Tests (denen ich langsam nicht mehr vertrauen mag/kann).

Der Haken sind (neben den Kosten 😬 ) die 35 Minuten bis zum gesichert-negativen Ergebnis.

@nullagent This *very much* depends on the quality of the tests, and I'm perfectly unsure why bad tests are still allowed to be sold, given that >>99% sensitivity/specificity are cheaply possible since years 😠
(And yes, the probe needs to go deep.)
