Another classic shock doctrine appeal. Eby is trying to play the saint against Trump card, but British Columbians know better.#JohnHorgan’s Bcndp used the collapse of #BCUnited, and uniting of the right to beg for strategic votes last election.
I was upset we were having an election during onset of #covid19bc, but Horgan used Covid to solidify strategic votes against the right.
David Eby is now taking a page outta Horgan’s book and it shows, no matter how much he gives excuses.
Governments deserve accountability, yet this BCNDP has never been held accountable for their complete failure with regards to #covid19bc.
Making this about #Trump is the only way they will garner votes. Appealing to the concerned who think patriotism is all that matters right now.
A good cheap play but I think it will backfire on Eby. It makes the BCNDP look desperate and weak. They will now beg for votes using patriotism as their shield.
What BC truly needs is to take a stand against a fossil funded government who seeks to continue environmentally exploiting our great province for many years to come.
Eby is an opportunist, much like Trump. Even as a former BCndp voter, I feel he should have waited until #BCConservatives and #CenterBC had official leaders.

With municipal elections on the go, #BCConservatives and #CenterBC in disarray and the US midterms keeping everyone distracted, seems like a perfect time for Eby to play the now well used “shock doctrine” card.
