So our state stopped offering free COVID vaccines today and I finally found out the price now. 170 dollars, yes 170. Yeah no one getting vaccinated now...

Had to go for a walk up to the shops today, partially because one pooch we're looking after needed it, but also because the bank needed some signatures from me and needed to see my ID again.
No big deal… aside from Angus deciding to chase two large water dragons around the St. Peter Chanel church carpark it was an uneventful trip up and we had a coffee before I did my banking.
On my return to the café I look over at the parking spaces out the front of The Gap post office, and a white 4WD in "Plandemic" livery is parked there. (I've seen the vehicle at least twice before.)
6 years on… and they're still going on about that crap.
(And yes, they did *plan* for it… much like they plan for the event of a fire… so they know WTF to do if such an event happens! In this case they planned for a pandemic not knowing what the disease would be, but nonetheless they developed procedures for how they might handle one *if* it happened. I guess these people would protest the maintenance of a fire alarm.)
I suspect we'll find out next year to see if the clock gets wound back by the new vaccination eligibility rules — apparently from today, the COVID-19 and flu shots are no longer free for under 65s. (No I don't buy the BS about young people being "healthier" — these diseases put professional athletes in graves, and I'm not as fit as them.)
I have not heard how much we'll be stung for it, but I hear it'll be a lot more than just a sore arm.

The note at the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/wastewater/respiratory-viruses/national.html is terse and doesn't make any promises about when the testing will be restored.
In Washington State, I believe almost all the wastewater testing happens at the state level, so I don't expect there to be much of an impact here. One possible exception is Snohomish; it gets its testing data from Verily, the existing CDC contractor, and therefore might be one of the two hundred affected sites. But I don't know that for a fact.

In Washington State, I believe almost all the wastewater testing happens at the state level, so I don't expect there to be much of an impact here. One possible exception is Snohomish; it gets its testing data from Verily, the existing CDC contractor, and therefore might be one of the two hundred affected sites. But I don't know that for a fact.
