Ich nutze schon seit längerem #bravebrowser auf meinem Smartphone mit #grapheneos . Aufgrund des umstrittenen CEO's würde ich jedoch gerne zu einem anderen Browser wechseln, der das Maß an #fingerprinting - Schutz bietet wie brave.

Bisher sind alle anderen Browser die ich mit coveryourtracks.org getestet habe (u.a. vivaldi, firefox, vanadium) jedoch beim Fingerprinting-Schutz nicht an Brave Browser herangekommen. Weis da jmd mehr?

V rámci nedávného vydání komixu #ContraChrome jsem si vzpomněl na stránky https://www.eff.org/

Ty se zabývají bezpečností na internetu a mimo bezpečnostních pluginů do prohlížečů mají také testovací stránku, která zjistí jak zabezpečený máte prohlížeč.

Testoval jsem své prohlížeče v základním nastavení a takhle mi to vyšlo:
1. TorBrowser
2. Brave
3. Firefox
4. Vivaldi
5. Chrome

Diese Experimente habe ich vor ein paar Wochen auch gemacht, mit ähnlichen Ergebnissen. Brave habe ich dabei nicht untersucht, weil ich das nicht verwenden will. Übrig blieb bei #CoverYourTracks der Tor-Browser als der einzige, der sich wirksam gegen Fingerprinting wehrt.

Bei #AmIUnique und #BrowserLeaks habe ich den Eindruck, dass da ein Bug ist. Die sagen zwar, dass sie mich auch im Tor-Browser eindeutig identifiziert haben, erkennen mich aber beim nächsten Besuch nicht wieder. Zum Glück!

@tux @hirnbloggade @bluesky787 Hat sich herausgestellt, dass ich nur #Coveryourtracks austricksen konnte. AmIUnique sowie Browserleaks nicht. Siehe Thread.

Trotzdem kommt es ganz auf dem Test an, den man macht.

- #coveryourtracks kann ich austricksen
- #amiunque nicht
- #Browserleaks auch nicht

Sogar meine Tor-Browser-Installation (sie ist komplett auf Standard-Einstellungen!) lässt sich damit eindeutig identifizieren. Genauso fällt auch der Brave den letzten beiden Tests zum Opfer.

Fazit: Fingerprinting lässt sich kaum vermeiden. Wenn eine Webseite einen eindeutig identifizieren möchte, schafft sie das.
