I just watched Frank Films excellent short documentary on the return of the Court Theatre to the centre of Ōtautahi-Christchurch city, NZ.
Before the 2010–2011 earthquakes, the Court Theatre thrived in the city's historic old Art Centre. That was badly damaged in the earthquakes, and the historic buildings are still being carefully rebuilt and restored.
The Court Theatre was relocated to a makeshift warehouse building by the railway line in the suburb of Addington (where they put on some great shows).
Now, they're back in the centre city(!) and in a brand new building designed just for them, just a block from Cathedral Square.
It's exciting to see the centre of the city sparkling again, due in part to investments in major projects like this.
