Overview Located in the southwestern region of the Commonwealth of Virginia is Russell County, home to notable towns such as Castlewood, Honaker, and Lebanon. The last of these towns serves as the county seat, while Castlewood is located to the west and Honaker to the north. The primary highways in the county are generally situated in an east-west direction and include portions of United States Routes 19 and Alternate 58.
