Overview Kanabec County is a notable county in the Minnesota North Woods west of Interstate 35 and east of the Mississippi River that uses the City of Mora as the county seat. Today, the City of Mora is home to the iconic local Dala Horse attraction as well as the historical society of the county to the west.
