Overview The City of Van Buren is a city in and the county seat of Crawford County, Arkansas, north of the Arkansas River and within the general area around Fort Smith. Today, the community is home to a smaller downtown area including such sites as Arts on Main, as well as notable restaurants and shops throughout the inner downtown core.
