No matter where I go in this world, coming back to WV is something wonderful that I struggle to describe completely. Anywhere I am in #WV I feel a sense of comfort I haven't found anywhere else. I just hope every one has a place, a home, that does this for them.

Where do you call home?

"Lightning Bug Lane."

I didn't see many lightning bugs this year ... but how i do love them.

See it my better at my website, plus all the products it's available on: https://lois-bryan.pixels.com/featured/lightning-bug-lane-lois-bryan.html

I hand painted it in #CorelPainter from a photo I took up at one of the country roads leading to #blueknoballseasonsresort ... then played around quite a bit! It's #NotAi.

How ‘Country Roads’ became the soundtrack of the US team’s World Cup run ⚽ 🎵

The John Denver estate told the AP that it is “thrilled” by the song’s latest revival at the World Cup, saying “Country Roads” has endured because its message transcends geography, and that its “simple, clear, and relatable” lyrics make it perfect for a sing-along.

The other "fun" I had today was a surprise reaction test on the road as I passed over the top of a hill just to meet a slalom course of several firewood logs someone had lost in the middle of the road, nicely spread out. Had to dodge left, then right and then left again. Felt like ADAC test driver for a moment. I like to think all the hours playing Quake 3 Arena in my youth paid off in reaction time :)

The driver behind me was slower and took one log on the front left wheel, the car doing a mighty jump into the air before coming back down hard and swerving. Kept on driving. Subaru Outback 🤷

Also someone slow-motion crashing into another car on the iced over parking lot, cracking a bunch of fancy Audi plastic bumper parts that probably cost a fortune!
