My Stepmother has a #countertop that I love. She knows my love of #geology and had a cutting board made for me as their counters were installed.

Wanting to read about the geology of "#Ubatuba granite" I was surprised to discover it's considered #igneous and/or #metamorphic and it's a charnockite, a new term for me. I'll have some reading to do once home!

#Ceramic #Countertop does not claim to be COMPLETELY idiot-proof but we have found it to be great. Look up the cleaning instructions for #Dekton if you have any doubts. They basically okay every solvent known to mankind except, perhaps, Hydroflouric Acid. Hot pans don't seem to be a problem for us (don't complain if you find a way to wreck it - we have not done, though)
