When iterating through the process of writing new automation, I often start the "phase 0" automation as #BASH scripts, then refactor to whatever the framework I'm ultimately targeting uses. So, I have a lot of BASH-based automation laying around. I often feel kind of icky about it …until I watch others on my team author in BASH.

Well, my state has given a #heatwave warning (rule is 5 or more consecutive days of 35°C or above, with little relief during the night).

This is my second major heatwave in this country.

It could be worse, though.

In 1540, a lot of #Europe had 11 months (!) without any #rain. 1/2 million people died from #dysentery. #Wine became very sweet (roasted) & cheap.

The worst case for me will be a very early start if I want to exercise.
