It's a bit windy on the tops tonight, but still managed to snap some Cottongrass swaying side to side without a care in the world, just doing as they please. -
Here is a landscape oil painting of cottongrass growing on tundra in the arctic. It shows the wilderness of Alaska on the North Slope among the foothills of the Brooks Range. In the midnight sun's light are distant fields, meadows, the moon and lakes.

Staying at Cors Goch, here are two #wetland plants from that #nature reserve. On the left, Common #Cottongrass—not a grass, but a #sedge, with distinctive 'cotton wool ball' seed heads. On the right, Marsh #Cinquefoil, a.k.a. Swamp Cinquefoil or Purple Marshlocks.
