I was surrounded by gentle hills, green wheat fields, and many spring-green trees. But there was this one dead snag, devoid of leaves, standing starkly against that sky.

Our Grand Tour
By Catherine Parker Driving down to Chipping Norton from Manchester took us just under 3 hours. Maps took us on the toll road on the M6 to avoid 30 minutes of traffic in the Birmingham congestion.
