We celebrated Pakjesavond, the night Saint Nicholas aka Sinterklaas/Sint Nicolaas brings children (and often their parents) a few gifts. The gifts often arrive in a jute sack. It seemed like an interesting challenge to draw one, as I’d never done that before.

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 3: Treats
We’re in the middle of a reno. So my life is ✨chaos✨ atm. So I started late on today’s drawing. I’m happy with the result!
This is a chocolate covered sugar froggy. I sometimes used to have these as a kid in the month leading up to #Pakjesavond (#Sinterklaas). The inside is pure sugar. It’s definitely not healthy. But it is nostalgic.
And yes, the reference froggy has been devoured by yours truly. 😂

#WinterSoCosy2025 Day 1: Shoe/Stocking
I decided to go for "shoe" (or slipper, you know). We celebrate Sinterklaas, and so it's common to place a shoe near the fireplace or central heating. Usually filled with a carrot or sugar cube for Ozosnel, his horse! Now let's hope we'll get something nice or yummy in return! 😃
