CosmicNation is testing a few small communities on Keet. I’ve come to realize that, given the age verification issues surrounding Discord, Keet could actually be a viable p2p alternative.

CosmicNation helped transfer my content from tmg.cosmicnation.co to my Patreon site, https://patreon.com/TMGmeditations. This eliminates the need for two separate community websites. Patreon supports public posts and free memberships, so even non-supporting members can enjoy my free content. Here’s an example of what can’t happen on our mastodon.cosmicnation.co instance. Unless you’re invited, registration must be approved by me or my colleague. Additionally, you’ll have to pay a hefty fee of 9USD annually for our service. (This fee includes extras.) Why? We only want serious individuals to use our name in their handles.

1) History has shown me that free social media is making me the product. If not currently then it will be so later.
2) History has shown me that free social media platforms sooner or later struggle keeping their service running if they don't go over to show advertisement. People tend to stop donating.

Some things come to an end. CosmicNation has decided not to continue with the Session Open Communities. After over a year of testing we concluded with that for privacy, Session is a remarkable messenger but the developers show no sign of being interested in separating illegal activity from legal activity. We saw more and more disgusting spam hitting our communities on Session. We don't want to be associated with such content nor such a messenger.
