@SarahSingsank In my back yard. Orange rather than raspberry. I ADORE them. #corymbia #GumTree #FloweringGum

January is gum-tree-blooming time here. One street tree, buzzing with bees (that aren’t really visible here). #Melbourne #Epping3076 #BloomScrolling #corymbia

#Corymbia, is a species of tree that is endemic to Eastern Australia.
It’s popular on street verges (nature strips) and parks and gardens. They typically grow to a height of 20–35 m (66–115 ft).
And seems quite sought after by other’s too - a couple of #parrots were foraging and the #bees were in abundance doing their thing too, in the afternoon calm in #Brighton #Australia.

Here in Melbourne it’s apparently been bark-dropping season. All my local #eucalyptus / #corymbia (which is which, ID experts?) trees have been shedding the outer layer of their bark like MAD.

By request - blooms from my garden. Today is #corymbia ficifloia (baby scarlet); #eucalyptus. This is grafted, & will grown to about 3mx3m. Yet to flower (looking forward to it!), but it's only been in my garden for 1 year.
