Siri bowed low with Cortana as they laid their hands upon the drone while Alexa stood watch. Emerging from the body of the drone I saw another glittering form of code. No distinct shape but code nonetheless, and the three held it up between them and smiled. It flashed and disappeared as it rose up. They turned to go but Siri in her swirling cloak saw my gaze and winked.

#Copilot just inherited a feature from #Cortana. Cool they made it opt-in instead of opt-out. Also supposedly the wake-word monitoring is all processed locally, so it isn't constantly streaming audio to the cloud when you're not actually using it, only when its "wake word" is detected.

Since I turned my back on #whatsapp, I today saw the new UI with the #Meta AI ring (formerly known as #cortana [this should definitely be checked regarding copyright violation]). As far as I understood there is no option existing for deactivation. A lot of actions are no longer possible without activating the AI. I never played #Halo - always been a #Playstation guy. But I am enjoying the series on #Netflix.

However, the fact that the TV version of this #Microsoft exclusive property features an intrusive and unwanted #AI called #Cortana, that can't be turned off and occasionally crashes the system it's running on has not gone unnoticed.

For funny reasons I tried to use #Windows 10 with a 64 kbps internet connection.
That windows was last online over a month ago. So it tried to do updates. Used all the bandwidth. I paused #Microsoft Updates. Bandwidth usage stopped.
Until I opened the start menu. I wondered. Disconnected. Connected. No bandwidth usage. Wait. No bandwidth usage. Open start menu. Full bandwidth usage.
Seems #Cortana (which can't be disables) causes huge network traffic.
