I've been a business owner and an investor in companies for many years now. I get the need to weed out poor performers. I get the need to make sure one spends money wisely. I get that sometimes you grow too fast and have to cut back. The orgasmic glee that the VCs and founders in this article talk about what Musk is doing and wanting to emulate it but in muted terms absolutely 100% disgusts me. There is absolutely nothing admirable about what Musk has done at Twitter. There are far better examples of how to do those things reasonably. It makes my contempt for Silicon Valley Techbro and Venture Capital culture even greater.
