Just reread Chigurh dispatching his first two victims. He’s the ultimate psychopath.

  2. Blood Meridian – Cormac McCarthy (1985)

  3. What he generally does is writing the text as if the aim was to read it aloud to someone. And you don't read quote marks. You don't read many other punctuation marks. The period survives in a form of a pause, as well as some commas. He strips his text of non-readable elements. Though, it feels a bit too raw for me at times.

But as the principle, I like it.

  4. Billy Bob Thornton – „All die schönen Pferde“ (2000)

(ZDF, Wh.)

  5. All the pretty horses is an epic novel full of big emotions, big characters, and big landscapes, and though it's a good book, I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected, mostly because of the uneven (and often rambling) writing style.

All the pretty horses, Cormac McCarthy

  6. 1 Just read The Last Crossing by #GuyVanderhaege, my first read by him in many years, and I was mightily impressed. Calling him the #CormacMcCarthy of #Canada might be superficial, but it does give some sense of his stature and his subject matter, at least in the case of this #book#BookSky

  11. If you only read one novel by Cormac McCarthy read All the Pretty Horses.

I'm afraid that younger folks might have read The Road, as that was his last book. While that's well written, like all of his, I hate the post apocalyptic genre.

If you are going to read only two, then read Suttree next.

You should read everything he's written if you're able.

  12. Ah yes, the exclusive backstage tour of Cormac McCarthy's brain 🔓—but first, you must solve the ancient riddle of enabling JavaScript and cookies 🍪. Because nothing screams "literary genius" like a 404 error dressed as a treasure hunt. 🕵️‍♂️✨

  13. Hardly seems worth doing

Anything that doesn’t take years of your life and drive you to suicide hardly seems worth doing.
