It involves large corporate and national interests, witting and unwitting proxies, paid shills, and sometimes the public. The modern phase of the Copyright Wars began with the rise of the Internet. @kerouac666 @tchambers I’m not an attorney, but according to at least one site mugshots across the United States in all jurisdictions are part of the public record, just like court transcripts for example, and are in the public domain. I’d love a copyright expert to weigh in. Local and state laws / statutes are also public record and can not be paywalled if online. This is true even - especially - if the bullies use some of that stolen lunch money to pay for a massive global ad campaign exhorting us to think of the poor hungry kids and demanding that we give them even more lunch money."
