Though I'm not religious, I do like religious art. I especially like Coptic art. This is a piece I copied to explore their techniques and composition. I find it interesting how many cultures have the big eyed motif--manga, Coptic and other early Christian art, children's illustration, all those big eyed dolls I'd see along the streets of Tijuana, etc. Such a human response!
