It's days like today that I realize how much time and effort a dog needs. We adopted the bigger dog, Major the Coonhound, about two and a half years ago. In that time, he's really gotten better at taking his cues from us and looking to us for direction (and treats, mostly treats). We adopted Fable, the Catahoula Leopard Dog, a little over a year ago. She's learned to live with us better, but she still has a mind of her own.

The Cat[ahoula] and the [Coon]Hound
Major the Redtick Coonhound is in the left and Fable the Catahoula Leopard Dog is on the right.
Two things:
1) Major only "volunteered" to model today because he heard there were treats involved. Hence the game face
2) Fable weighs 65 lbs (29.5 kg). Major is really double her size. So if you ever hear me call Fable little, it's because Major was my first dog
