Happy National Name Your Car Day!
Autumn 2024 with my Fiat
I always park next to another cute and cool car! In this case, my husband parked near me, with his convertible PT Cruiser when he met me at one of my speaking engagements at a local library.
Happy National Name Your Car Day!
I got my Fiat in 2024 and never thought to name it.
A few weeks ago I went to the bank and I saw a really cool Mini Coop, so I parked next to it.
When I got out of the bank, I saw the women getting into her car and complimented her. She complimented me on my car too.
She asked me what my car’s name was. I told her I didn’t name my car. I hadn’t named my car since my very first car when I was 19, a brand new Monte Carlo, white. I named the car Dutchess after the white angora cat in Aristocats.
I asked what her car’s name was. She said, “Bennie.”
I said, “I had a cat named Bennie!”
She said, “So did I. I named the car after my cat.”
I said, “I’ll name my car after my cat too.”
Bennie, Rest in peace, sweet angel, you were so loved!
And I started calling my car Bennie, after my beloved sweet cat who died way too young at 3 years old because he had brain cancer. The sweetest cat ever! He smelled so good. I miss him so much!
Plus Bennie is a cute name for a cute car!
Meet Bennie and Bennie!
