The Drift River Terminal Facility, also known as the Drift River Oil Terminal, is a #tankFarm which holds #crudeOil before it is loaded onto #oilTankers and transported to refineries. It is located in #Alaska along #CookInlet, at the terminus of the Drift River, an historic #floodplain of nearby volcanic #MountRedoubt. The facility is owned and operated by Cook Inlet Pipeline Company, a Houston-based corporation owned by #Hilcorp.

Our Last night in Alaska and as beautiful as it all is I was ready to go home. But then from the window of my hotel room, way later than I normally stay up, I watched my final Alaskan sunset from this adventure. What happens to the LNG need around the region if/when Hilcorp stops producing in #CookInlet ?Hasnt Hildebrande said he intends to "wind down" production in the Inlet over the next two decades? Already planning to remove platforms and convert the old legs to tidal energy turbines.
