Every year I make a Christmas cookie tray for a client of the husband. This year’s has 2 flavors of spritz (orange and cinnamon), teacakes/wedding cakes/powder-sugar balls, and chocolate and vanilla sugar cookies.

I think we called them 'jam busters' as a kid. Don't have a recipe so I winged it, with a general thumbprint-cookie recipe, tweaked a few different ways and rolled in cornflakes.

the past couple years I experimented with tweaking the batter recipe we used, and they were always chewy or burned. so this year I went back to our original and what do you know - perfection. this batter also cooks a bit faster so that didn’t take quite as long!
