I tried looking for a #NewMusic album of #AbelSelaocoe, who did an amazing live performance on @youtube_nprmusic with his #cello & #voice, but I couldn't find any on #bandcamp 🤷
However, I did find several projects where he participated in. One of them is the #Contours music project of DJ Tom Burford, who in his latest 'Elevations' album collaborates with #Jazz & #ClassicalMusic artists mixing their acoustic sounds into his excellent #BrokenBeat #ElectronicMusic tracks.

Following on from yesterday’s posting of flow around a #ZhukovskyAerofoil, I’ve added #equipotential lines (blue) in addition to #streamlines (black). The two families are #contours of the #real and #imaginary parts of an #AnalyticFunction and therefore have the property of intersecting #orthogonally. The plots aren’t ideal as there are some anomalous features where the equipotential lines are very close to the #aerofoil.

I was toying with ways of generating contours from a heightmap or computer image, and started thinking about the behaviour of the wild haggis as it runs around Scottish hillsides. The result is the Haggis Contours algorithm, which I've implemented in Go and published at https://github.com/StarsoftAnalysis/HaggisContours. Given an image file, it generates an SVG image with paths for each contour.

maplibre-contour is a plugin for drawing contours on the fly in MapLibre GL JS from the same source of raw elevation data that Maplibre uses to render shading designed to save storage and bandwidth #contours
