My knee-jerk reactions to this post was to assume you're talking about "masks" in the context of *masking*. As in, the uncomfortable shapes neurodivergents twist ourselves into to pass as "normal" in neurotypical society.

I didn't mention it in my client comment because it wasn't that usage. He was describing the grinding of bone.
