“Spring Maiden” is a soulful mixed-media portrait that captures the quiet anticipation of renewal. The face, adorned with a sculptural floral crown, embodies the delicate threshold between seasons — where winter’s hush softens and the first warmth begins to bloom.
Built through expressive palette-knife strokes and layered materials, the painting combines acrylic, oil, fabric elements, and heavy texture… https://www.instagram.com/p/DVV_mKljXfy/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=mastodon #mixedmediaart #texturedart #portraitpainting #contemporaryportrait -

.
Pastels & chalk on toned paper A3.
There are gazes that hold time and need to say nothing more.
What do we see when we look?
.

#AkhmatBikanov #contemporaryportrait #watercolour #szena #galleries #exhibitions #queervibes #artsy #comparisons #orientalism

Gregory Olympio, “Woman Lying Down, Pink Background”, 2021, acrylic on canvas, 73 × 92 cm ★ Togo/France/Beninese ★ https://blankprojects.com/Gregory-Olympio #GregoryOlympio #contemporaryart #contemporarypainting #contemporaryportrait #acryliconcanvas #malegaze #queervibes #mustache #Frenchartists #Togoleseartists #Benineseartists #2020s
