There is TOTP (RFC 6238), an open standard for 2FA authentication, that all the big players in the web industry currently use.

And then there is the weird 2FA app used on the client's network that requires yet another special app to be installed on my device.

I'm in a conference call with the guy sitting next to me, the guy sitting across him and another one that is sitting 10 feet away from us.

I still don't understand why we did not book a room together. And that's why I was late to the call.

But that's the culture on the client premise. Feels like we're in a Counter Strike squad, when you think about it. But all we are looking at is an Excel sheet.
