  6. Trying to fix various issues along with enemy AI for a mini RTT game in #construct3 .The blue ones are player units, the others are enemies. I’ve realized this is quite a tough job, but the results aren’t bad at all considering C3’s capabilities. What do you think?

  9. This might not look like much but I just set up the animation file and game to have skins, the most important game feature for me :)
    They're only different tinted sets of layers right now but I can change things out and have other costume variations later. Blade was already done.

  10. Something else I've been experimenting with. What a modern point and click from me would look like. I would have loved to have this tech 30 years ago when I had to struggle with 320 x200 and 32 colors on an Amiga.

    This is from my comic The Crinoline Crime Club crinolinecrime.club/ and was put together in #Spine2D and #construct3

    I also realized I don't really want to make another point and click but I can still use this sort of thing elsewhere in it.

  11. So something I was coding on Blade Kitten yesterday broke things terribly.

    Like it was freezing particles and sprites. I knew it was the enemy code but I couldn't work it out. So today I went through line by line and copied it to a new routine - fixing things as I went. It all works beautifully now... for now :)

    As a bonus, they can shoot at Kit as well.

  14. In this update, I focused on getting Kit to move around and have her animations blend a bit. Obviously, I'm not trying to redo the movement set from the first game - that's way too much work for one person to handle so I'm going with a simpler retro arcade style of gameplay. Mind you the first game was a homage to Strider from 1989 so it's not like that's anything new.

  16. Pulling assets from past attempts at getting started on a 2D Blade Kitten game. UI stuff as well as pickups and the like. It's hella random but I just like that feeling of seeing stuff moving around on a screen - even if it's just idle animations.
