Just got my Flippydrive for my Gamecube. Very easy to install. I'm still waiting until I get an SD extender to screw in the 4 Gamebit screws at the bottom of the cube, but outside of that the process of getting this thing installed was really easy and it seems to work well

Since I'm at a standstill with my game boy restroati9n, ill probably work on one of my other projects, the Blackest NES.

Finally did the A/V mod on my #atari 2600 four switch console.
Picture and audio quality is quite nice now. No more RF hassle!

Swapped my Dreamcast's PSU. Planning on doing a GDEMU install at some point, and while the stock PSU is perfectly good, it being a PAL unit means it doesn't like the 12V rail not being used. The capacitor trick in the stock PSU seems a bit dodge, so decided to replace it with the Robot_Retro unit.
I'm using a uGreen Nexode mini 30W as the AC-DC.

Finally getting around to a several year old project of restoring a spare Game Boy I have. I think I picked this up at a goodwill but it's been so long I don't remember. This shell was absolutely DISGUSTING but it's nice and clean now as best as I can get it.
I don't plan on retrobriting it because I want it to show off it's character when it's in working condition. Once I replace all the corroded battery contacts, I'll test it to see if it works. Thankfully, none of the corrosion seeped into the main boards at all so I have high hopes for it.
If it works, I'll get to work replacing the screen, and order some speaker and power mods to modernize it a bit. Unsure if I'm gonna go with a rechargeable battery or not sometime down the line.

I've been debating if I should mod my vita...🤔
I modded my 3ds a few years ago and it was surprising easy. All the memes were right lol. But reading through the vita guide I felt like it'd be more complicated and I dont wanna mess anything up 😩
Also part of why I didn't care about modding my 3ds was because the eshop and online servers were going down so it didn't matter anyways. But both are still up for the vita and I use them on occassion and don't want my psn to get banned...
I know I could just use a new account for it but then my achievements wouldn't be synced 😭
Maybe I should just try to platinum my vita games beforehand? Even though some of the trophies are pretty extensive 😮💨

I was able to get softmodding setup up on the Xbox. ENDGAME is a really interesting way of jailbreaking. Definitely felt like a hacker when I plugged a USB stick in and suddenly the Xbox goes black and starts running arbitrary code.

Original GameBoy: IPS Mod Horizontal LinesThe IPS display mod for the original GameBoy from a couple of weeks ago already developed a fault. bright horizontal lines run through the display, and it seems a full replacement of the LCD panel is needed. It seems these mods are a bit fragile. Also the display lens is a bit crooked and needs fixing. So off to another round of DMG modding!

:famicom: Finally finished the AV mod on the famicom, cut a part off the rf shielding and removed some components to fit a trrs module in there. Did the mod according to @ctrl_alt_rees@x' write-up.

I had to get a new soldering iron to bridge the circled part but the result was worth it!

Looks like I'm getting a Turbografix-16 given to me sometime in the future with Pac-Land, Sidearms, and Keith Courage in Alpha Zones!
What are some other good games to be on the watch out for? And anything I should watch for when I have opportunity to refurbish the system? Not sure if I wanna keep it stock or possibly mod it in the future. Any knowledge would be appreciated!

Here's another project while I was away from the Fediverse: replace the Steam Deck's analogues with hall sensors ones.
This one is perfect if you're confident opening the Deck and with soldering, as you can see in the second photo.
I don't have to worry about drifting for a long time!
