Pine Nut Wild Horse Advocates update:
The Pine Nut wildhorses are reported safely tucked away from the fires. PNWHA'Volunteers can see the horses but have to stay back so the firefighters can work.

Flying a drone near wildfire operations puts lives at risk. If you fly, firefighting aircrafts must be grounded for safety, which delays critical suppression efforts.
It’s a federal crime to interfere with wildfire response. Violators can face:

Retired firefighter friend on vacation at Topaz Lake, about 5 miles south of the #ConnerFire is safe. He's sent several photos of the smoke, but I didn't ask permission to post here so I won't.

His feeling was pretty strong that had it been in California, they would have beat it down overnight with helicopters. There wasn't much to this fire at the time.

Just have to say what a wonderful sight it is seeing #Calfire aircraft and the myriad of contractors we have wildfires nearby.

A useful feature of the ALERTCALIFORNIA cams is the video playback...select a time frame in the lower right clorner, then hit play in the lower left. The last 6 hours have been dramatic.
