The fire is now 28% contained and mapped at 17,714 acres. Crews continue to make progress on the ground and from the air, working to strengthen containment lines and cool hot spots.

These on-the-ground efforts are being guided in part by infrared flights, which help detect lingering heat pockets not visible to the naked eye, especially at night.

Evacuation Orders have been lifted for Bodie Flats, Lola, Edwards, and Jackson Streets in Pine View Estates; it is safe to re-enter.
