Going to have to reconsider going to events at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.

Absolutely nowhere to park. The garage attached to the Center is never an option. There's ones nearby that often have parking, but today they're all closed up. Even one that would have been a distance to walk was closed.

Ended up coming home and skipping #ConnectiCon.

(Even if I did get that far away bit of parking, it ended up pouring not long after. So... thanks?)

There's clusters of cosplayers making their pilgrimage through the city to the Center, but I don't know enough to figure it out. Meh.

In addition to the cosplayers here, there are so, so many furries.

Haul from #Connecticon — Vectrex Pole Position, complete in box, fairly rare. #PS2 Dirge of Cerberus CiB, decent deal. Also got GB #Othello World. OW allows head to head play so I walloped my son in a game last night, passing the Analogue Pocket back and forth. #AnaloguePocket

Following up to last year's playthrough of Othello World for the Super Famicom, we found Othello World for the original #Gameboy at this year's #Connecticon. It's pretty fun for a mobile version.

My wife, @Smashbcosplay who is not around the Fediverse often, will be at Connecticon tomorrow. I just finished making 50 buttons for her to hand out there. The art was commissioned from Schark Design.

I am reasonably happy with the results. Previous times I just used my old color toner printer and the resulting image quality was okay, but this time I ordered them printed on photo paper and I am very happy with the image quality as a result where I had weird printing artifacts in the past. I was worried that the thickness of the photo paper would result in more failed buttons and I'm not sure it didn't, but my failure rate was always pretty high, so it's hard to tell.

We missed #Origins due to both of us having COVID, so #Connecticon 2023 is going to be our first real convention this year. (I think the local comic convention was last fall). Also a retro gaming convention next month.
