@grantdenkinson looks like a #Cona coffee maker with a spirit burner under. Works by vacuum.. Coffee grounds in the top vessel, boil water in the bottom one. When boiling, it rises up the inner tube into the top vessel, brews, then back down to the bottom one, with the handle for serving. Worked for a catering equipment company in the 1980s, we sold these in our showroom. The top glass funnels were fragile, sold loads!

Es wirkt zwar nur auf dem Papier und die eigentlichen #Cona-Infektionen schießen in die Höhe, aber das war politisch so gewollt.
Das nicht testen wirkt also.

Hot water goes into the jug (bottom), ground coffee goes into the funnel (top). Place the whole contraption onto a heat source. When the water begins to boil the hot gases expand, pushing the water up into the funnel, mixing with the coffee. Remove from the heat, the gases cool, creating a vacuum which sucks the coffee back down.
However, the coffee has to pass a glass filter which prevents the larger coffee grinds from passing. The result is perfectly filtered coffee.
