CALL FOR PAPERS – @CAA_int Denmark's (CAA-DK) annual seminar will take place on 17 March 2027 at the University of Copenhagen, South Campus.
This year's theme is 'Models in archaeology – from data to interpretation'.
The deadline for abstracts is 1 November 2026. Abstracts are accepted in English, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian. Please send them to Kirstine Haase, [email protected]

I finally got round to adding classic single radiocarbon calibration plots to my #Rstats package {c14}. I think they turned out pretty nice!

@sarahalang Thanks for this! If you CTRL+H 'history' with 'archaeology', it reads almost as well, though we have a slightly longer tradition (starting in the 50s) and a more distant relationship to text-centric Digital Humanities.
Will be a very handy citation when trying to communicate that no, I'm not talking about 'big data'!

Årets tema er fjerndetektering og ikke-destruktiv arkæologi. Dagen udføres i samarbejde med Luftfotoarkæologisk Center med stort fokus på resultater og konklusioner fra centerets levetid.
Tilmelding er åbent til med 3. marts.

For the #DigiArchMaintainathon I just updated the open-archaeo roadmap: https://github.com/zackbatist/open-archaeo/blob/master/ToDo.md
This involved checking off some completed items on our to do list, adding a few new ones, and restructuring the document for greater clarity.
I also added definitions to tags that previously did not have one 😅
