Half of the cops there went into the looted AM/PM like salmon swimming upstream to spawn. If they don't find any donuts, they will be most aggrieved.

This stand-off is between maybe 30 cops with less-lethal rounds and batons against a crowd of about 200 people in the street who earlier tossed quite a few fireworks at the cops, who seemed unimpressed.

Someone was riding a mini-bike inside of the AM/PM that's getting looted.
"For your safety, this area is under live video surveillance."
Meanwhile, the cops are across the street not protecting the store because the neighborhood is angry about a bunch of D.C. fascists in downtown L.A. kidnapping people without legal recourse, intending to ship them off to concentration camps in foreign countries, based on lies and misinformation. Half of the police force was protecting them.
Republicans deliberately chose to attack Los Angeles, a place Stephen Miller despises.
This is not a large crowd by LA standards. Yet.

There are still live streams going on about the reaction to ICE raids in Los Angeles county, and the corresponding police response.

There is a government or military helicopter circling the Compton protest. The video is about to go live again.
Not sure how much longer he'll go. He's been streaming for hours. The videos are Reuters or AP or whichever source he's paying for.
Protests in California are often broken up after midnight, when the last late-night news is off-air, and they've chased the media helicopters away. It is 3 am on the east coast, so millions of people never see what happens.

I just figured out I live in #compton now.
It's ghetto as hell, and you might think that's awful.
However I am insane, and feel right at home, and it kinda reminds me of the neighborhood my high school sweet heart lived in, and I spent a lot of time.
Also didn't grow up in the best neighborhood myself.
It's a bit nutty.
But I'll be damned if I'm not having FUN.
It's really not that dangerous like sheltered white people think, just don't be stupid and you'll be fine!
