Delaware became the 12th jurisdiction to pass medical aid in dying (MAID) legislation this morning. Gov. Matt Myer, former Representative Paul Baumbach and Senator Brian Townsend were instrumental in passage.

Committee clears way for House vote on medical-aid-in-dying legislation
“A bill to create medically-prescribed end-of-life options for terminally ill patients is again up for discussion in the Delaware General Assembly.
The issue remains a raw, emotional topic after similar legislation was passed after a ten-year battle but was vetoed last year by former Governor John Carney.”
