Another thing that I've learned from this, is that it's possible we're missing a lot of parallels in #ComparativeMythology when we don't come equipped with these sets of characters who freely swap around their mythemes.

The fact that Achilles and Hector and Paris seem to belong to a higher nature seems nuts, but when I follow the myths it seems to check out.

And I'm excited that part of this has also revealed that this 'Ailbhe' has a nighttime counterpart - and there's also mythic flow along that axis.

So, the Demon Kali (who I now believe is a 'Solar/Fiery Trickster') and his incarnation as Duryodhana like to use escalating stakes in gambling games to separate victims from their spouses and families. And I believe this has its parallel in Irish myth in how the _Moon/Watery Trickster_ Midir uses escalating stakes in a Ficheall game to separate Eochaid Airem from Étaín!

Outwardly, Kali/Duryodhana and Midir/Bréanainn don't seem to have anything in common, but that's because they're operating in different cosmic time-periods; literally day and night. Also, one's openly evil and the other is not, but that's just a matter of flavour.
