I just finished #AliSmith ‘s #CompanionPiece and feel like she’s unlocked something inside me too (like in Martina Inglis/Pelf). What I love above all is how she breaks open the shallow flat #presentism of modernity and shows how the past and stories are alive in all of us. This is what i’ve been trying to get at, too (as in our @RadicalAnthro
local environmental knowledge workshop) - but she does it so so brilliantly #Bookstodon
