A lot of the time running a #CommunityProject is exhausting, constant firefighting, dealing with people in crisis, relentlessly chasing funding just to pay staff and keep going. Some of our volunteers self-organised a little walking group and just got them a small grant from #NorthernRail to pay for travel costs, entry fees to places and food/drink when they do these trips. A group went off and had a brilliant walk along the river at #BoltonAbbey. Separately 5 of them have messaged me to say what a great time they had .. so things like that make it all worthwhile. 😃
